Terms of Use
Last updated: 24 August 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pipiro mobile application and related services (“Pipiro”, “the app”, “the service”). By creating an account or using Pipiro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Who we are
Pipiro is operated by an individual sole developer, Andrius Čepukas, based in Lithuania (European Union). You can reach us via our contact form.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Pipiro. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
- You sign in using your email address (with a one-time code) or via Google or Apple sign-in.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your email and devices secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- Notify us promptly via our contact form if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
- You can choose to share your account’s recipe library with other people (a “household”). Section 9 sets out what that means.
4. What Pipiro lets you do
Pipiro lets you create, import, organise, share, and iterate on recipes. This includes importing recipes from social media and other online sources, editing and versioning your own recipes, saving them to collections, and viewing AI-generated estimates of a recipe’s nutrition.
5. Your content
- You retain ownership of the recipes, photos, notes, and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”).
- You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the service to you.
- You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to upload and use it.
- If you join a household, you allow its other members to view, edit, and delete the part of Your Content that is in the shared library (see Section 9). You keep ownership of it.
6. Importing recipes from third-party sources
- The import feature fetches publicly available content from a link you provide and uses an AI model to extract structured recipe information.
- You are responsible for the links you import and for respecting the rights of the original creators and the terms of the source platforms.
- Recipes, ingredients, and instructions are provided for personal, informational use. Pipiro does not guarantee that imported or AI-extracted content is accurate, complete, or safe. Always use your own judgement, especially regarding allergens, food safety, and dietary needs.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any third party’s rights;
- upload content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, hateful, or abusive;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users’ data;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
- misuse the import or AI features (for example, to scrape content at scale or to circumvent the terms or usage restrictions of source platforms);
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Subscriptions and paid features
Pipiro offers free and paid features. Free accounts have usage limits (for example, on the number of recipe imports).
Pipiro offers an optional paid subscription with a monthly or yearly plan that unlocks additional features, including unlimited recipe imports:
- Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). That store’s payment, billing, and refund terms apply in addition to these Terms. Current prices are always shown in the app before you purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If you cancel, you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the free tier and its limits; your recipes and other content are kept.
- Refunds are handled by the app store you purchased through, under that store’s refund policy. If you are an EU consumer, you can exercise any applicable right of withdrawal through the store’s refund process.
Fair use. “Unlimited” recipe imports on paid plans means unlimited for personal use. Pipiro is a personal recipe app: using the import feature as a general-purpose scraping or data-extraction service, or at volumes inconsistent with personal use, is not permitted (see Section 7). We may apply technical safeguards against automated or abusive usage, and may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that misuse the feature.
Household plans. Pipiro also offers a household plan (monthly or yearly) that unlocks paid features for everyone in a household (see Section 9):
- The plan is bought and billed through one person’s app-store account - the person who purchases it. The other members are not billed for it and cannot manage or cancel it.
- Paid features apply to the members of that household for as long as the plan is active. If the person paying cancels, their plan expires, or they leave or are removed from the household, the other members return to the free tier and its limits; their content is kept.
- If you already have an individual subscription and then join a household that is covered by a household plan, your own subscription is not cancelled automatically - only the app store can cancel it, in your own store settings.
Pricing and limits may change; we will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes in advance, and price changes for an existing subscription take effect only in accordance with the applicable app store’s rules.
9. Households (sharing a library)
Pipiro lets you share one recipe library with the people you cook with (a “household”) - up to five people, including you.
- Joining a household is always your choice: you join only by accepting an invitation, and you can leave at any time.
- When you join, the recipes, shopping lists, and weekly meal plan on your account move into the shared library. Every member of a household can view, edit, and delete everything in it, including content you contributed. Share an account only with people you trust.
- Anyone holding a valid invitation link or code can join your household, so treat an invitation like a key to your home: send it only to the person you mean to invite. You can revoke a pending invitation at any time in the app.
- Any member can remove another member from the household. Removal has the same effect as leaving.
- Leaving or being removed. The recipes you created leave with you, and your star ratings are removed from the cooks that stay behind. Shared shopping lists and the weekly meal plan stay with the household.
- Deleting your account while in a household. The recipes you created are deleted for everyone in that household, including members who have been cooking from them. Shared shopping lists and the weekly meal plan stay with the household.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep Pipiro available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for downtime, data loss beyond our reasonable control, or third-party service interruptions.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pipiro is provided without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that recipe content (including imported or AI-generated content) is accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.
Nutrition estimates. Any nutrition information Pipiro shows (such as calories and macronutrients) is an approximate, AI-generated estimate based on the ingredients you enter, not a measured or verified value. It is provided for general informational purposes only and is not nutritional, dietary, or medical advice. Do not rely on it for medical, allergen, or dietary decisions; consult a qualified professional and the original product information where accuracy matters.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
13. Termination
You may stop using Pipiro at any time and delete your account directly in the app, which permanently removes your account and associated content. If you are in a household when you do, Section 9 sets out what happens to the content you shared with it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Pipiro after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Lithuania, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
